High doses of curry leaf extract were found to increase the antioxidants glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione reductase (GRD), and superoxide dismutase (SOD). These brain-protecting antioxidants could help to protect against neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. Again, more research is needed. (8)
