My name is Kate Wright and I am the captain of the Canadian Women’s Field Hockey Team. I started playing field hockey when I was 14 in Kingston, Ontario and was asked to join the National team in Vancouver when I was 17. Over the past 12 years, I have travelled the world and participated in 3 Commonwealth Games and 2 Pan American Games - winning the bronze medal at home in Toronto in 2015. I am very proud to be the most capped Canadian women’s field hockey player in history, representing my country over 200 times. 2019 is a big year for our team (FHC WNT) as we look to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. I am honoured to be a nomz athlete ambassador and am so thankful for their support as we continue on our journey to the Olympic Games!
